Ram girls lose 56-23 in consecutive games

The Greene County Ram girls basketball team had their first home game on Tuesday, Nov. 28, facing the third ranked team in 2A, Panorama. Greene County had a difficult time getting on top of the Panthers, trailing 36-7 at the half and ultimately falling 56-23.

Greene County game leaders were Kaycee Pittman who scored 12 points, Emma Shipley rebounding the ball five times with one steal, and Makenna Ebersole credited with five steals. Esther Van Horn, Shipley and Ebersole each had two assists in the game. 

The Rams traveled to PCM High School in Monroe on Friday, again losing 56-23. The Mustangs led from the start, up 15-6 at the end of the first quarter, widening the gap from there. The Rams trailed 23-11 at the end of the first half.

Ella Shipley led the team in points scored with 12, Emma Shipley scored seven and Pittman added two points to the board. For rebounds, Emma Shipley had 10 with four blocks, Van Horn grabbed five with three steals and Pittman nailed four rebounds. Emma Shipley also led in assists with three, Pittman added two and Van Horn had one.

The Rams were scheduled to play at South Hamilton High School on Tuesday, at home against Glidden-Ralston on Thursday and at Roland-Story High School on Friday.
